HISTORY - Although not recognised as an icon or classic like the Fiat 500 it should be - We have had four of these delightful cars in our family, they are fun to drive and immediately put a smile on your face with none of the electronic gadgets to spoil the experience. (Although it is possible the second generation might spoil the charm of its simplicity.
The Citroen C1, the Peugeot 107/8 and the Toyota Aygo are essentially the same vehicle with minor differences and badges. Originally conceived as a joint venture in 2005, the most popular has a 1 litre three cylinder petrol although a 1.2 petrol and a 1.4 diesel have been available, they are built in the Czech republic with a 0-60 of 14 seconds and an average MPG of over 60mpg.
There have been two facelifts 2009 & 2012 with a second generation launched in 2014 with a complete redesign.
