Ford Mexico Mk1 1974 (Yellow) - Car Plaque Available in Three Sizes - Ideal Present for the Ford Enthusiast
from £5.99
ALUMINIUM PLAQUE A6 (148 X 105mm), A5 (148 x 210mm) or 200x300mm - I printed this on white faced aluminium using the sublimation process which gives a long lasting finish.
The Ford Mexico Mk1 was a special edition of the Ford Escort and was manufactured between 1970-1974. It was produced in celebration of a Ford Escort's win in the 1970 London to Mexico World Cup Rally where it was driven by Hannu Mikkola and Gunnar Palm. It had a 1598cc cross flow engine producing 85bhp and its body was strengthened making it suitable for the amateur motor sports competitor. There were just over 10,000 Mexico variants manufactured.
I photographed this car at the London to Brighton Classic Car Run in June 2019.
